A letter from Ryan Thibeault

Dear Milton and Milton Mills Residents,
Thursday March 16, 2017, we have the opportunity to elect a new member of the Board of Selectmen. Regardless of who you are supporting, I would like to encourage everyone to venture out to vote. Polls will be open Thursday from 8AM to 7PM at the Milton Assembly of God Church or absentee ballots can be obtained from Town Hall, if you are unable to vote on Thursday.
I would like to take this opportunity to reinforce my position. The BOS needs to regain the trust and respect from the townspeople in order to move forward in a positive direction, this can be accomplished by working as a team. It is very important to understand and follow all laws and rules, meetings must be held in public sessions when applicable per RSA 91-A. Openness and transparency is key. Decisions need to be based off from facts and most importantly all and any personal conflicts must be set aside. The decisions must be made in the best interest of the town. We are all human and make mistakes, therefore occasionally mistakes will be made, but let’s own up to them and use them as a lesson learned. Actions speak louder than words and it is important that we always keep common sense in mind.
I support business, especially small business. I grew up in the small town of Strafford NH where I witness firsthand the value a small business brings to a community. My father owned a small business, where I worked. His hard work influenced my morals, this provided me with many hands-on skills I have and use today. I have worked hard to get where I am today and I will work just as hard to make a positive impact in the community. I am a firm believer that if you want something, you have to work for it. At the end of the day what really matters, is not what I have done or accomplished for myself, but what positive contribution I can make to the community.
I do not have a personal agenda or personal goals; I am running to help improve the community in which I live. I am not afraid to speak up for what is in the best interest of the community, and I absolutely am not running to make a name for myself or to get any “glory” from a title. Anyone who personally knows me knows that I truly do not like to draw attention to myself. I plan to make this my life long homestead and I want to work as a team with all members of the community to make positive changes. I look forward to seeing you on voting day and ask for your support.
